Kamil Stawiarski

Oracle ACE Director, Oracle Certified Master and OakTable Network member. At ORA-600, Kamil works deep inside the database: performance, diagnostics and Oracle internals. When a chart shows a problem, he wants to know which process, block or byte is behind it. He combines reverse engineering with hands-on performance troubleshooting, from SQL and PL/SQL to Exadata.

Co-founder and board member of Symposium 42 (SYM42), and founder and leader of POUG — Pint with Oracle Users Group. He helps build a community that tests ideas in practice and shares knowledge without the marketing fluff. He speaks at international conferences, writes about Oracle internals and demonstrates how to use JAS-MIN for performance diagnostics.

He enjoys difficult questions, good stories and Terry Pratchett. Without databases, he would probably tell scary stories in mountain hostels in the Bieszczady. These days, he tells them at conferences — usually with a trace file in the leading role.
